Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night, 3x12-hour schedule, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 3 nights per week (Night shift)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional labor and postpartum nursing care to mothers and newborns with skill and compassion
- Perform continuous and intermittent fetal monitoring and interpret tracings to support safe deliveries
- Place and calibrate IUPC devices as needed to assist with labor management
- Administer medications and manage drips including insulin, magnesium sulfate, antihypertensives, and anticoagulation per protocol
- Maintain IV therapy, perform phlebotomy, and care for central lines (CVC/PICC) safely
- Circulate for C-sections and assist with sterile vaginal exams and other delivery procedures
- Triage obstetrical patients effectively and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Document care accurately in Epic and communicate clearly with families and colleagues
Qualifications
- Active RN license (no pending license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery and postpartum experience required
- Travel nurse experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
- Preferred: AWHONN Advanced, strong precepting experience
- Comfort working 1:3 patient ratios and floating between like units when needed
- Proven competency with Epic charting and clinical documentation
- Ability to complete a 36-hour orientation
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in labor and delivery management and high-risk antepartum care
- Proficient in fetal monitoring interpretation and triage of obstetrical patients
- Skillful in IUPC placement and calibration
- Strong medication administration skills including drips and emergency meds
- Experience maintaining central lines (CVC/PICC) and performing IV therapy and phlebotomy
- Ability to circulate in the OR for C-sections and perform sterile vaginal exams
- Familiarity with isolation precautions and PPE
- Comfortable documenting in Epic and working within interdisciplinary teams
