Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality med/surg and telemetry nursing care for adult and geriatric patients
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond quickly using Rapid Response/Code team protocols
• Start and maintain IVs, manage PICC lines, and perform phlebotomy and central line blood draws
• Administer blood products, PCA and insulin safely and according to policy
• Manage tracheostomies, chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac), BiPAP/CPAP and HFNC support
• Perform wound care including Wound Vac management and isolation precautions with appropriate PPE
• Float between units as needed, supporting short-stay, med/surg and acute care surgery populations
• Document patient care accurately in Epic and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas (or compact RN with eligibility to practice in TX)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical RN experience (Med/Surg/Telemetry preferred)
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Comfort working night shifts and managing a 1:5 patient ratio
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, phlebotomy, and emergency response
• Ability to float between units and adapt to a variety of patient populations

• Tracheostomy care, chest tube management and postoperative respiratory support
• High Flow Nasal Cannula, BiPAP/CPAP and oxygen administration
• Wound care and Wound Vac management
• Isolation precautions, PPE use and infection control
• Rapid Response and code team participation
