Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum nursing care with compassion and clinical skill
• Monitor maternal and fetal status using AWHONN/C-EFM standards and intervene promptly when needed
• Perform triage assessments to determine acuity and next steps for moms and couples
• Circulate and assist in C-sections and manage immediate post-operative recovery
• Titrate medications such as Pitocin and Magnesium safely and per unit protocols
• Perform neonatal resuscitation (NRP) when required and collaborate with the team for newborn care
• Document thoroughly and accurately in EPIC to ensure continuity of care
• Support unit needs, including occasional zone floats and caring for overflow mastectomy patients when oriented

Qualifications

• Active RN license (able to submit license for assignment) — must be able to practice in the area
• At least 1 year of LDRP (Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum) experience within the last 3 years
• 2 years of RN experience noted on job details (aligns with role expectations)
• BLS (AHA), NRP, and AWHONN intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring OR C-EFM required
• Comfort and competence with circulating and recovering C-sections
• Experience with medication titration (Pitocin, Magnesium) required
• EPIC charting experience preferred and highly useful for quick onboarding
• Driver's license and ability to meet the 60-mile radius requirement for orientation

Education

• Registered Nurse (RN) — active license required
• BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong fetal monitoring skills (AWHONN/C-EFM) and interpretation
• Neonatal resuscitation (NRP) and newborn assessment
• Labor support, management of couplets, and postpartum care
• C-section circulation and post-op recovery skills
• Medication titration protocols (Pitocin, Magnesium) and safe administration
• Triage assessment and prioritization in an acute care L&D setting
• Proficient EPIC documentation and electronic charting workflow
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-family centered care
