Shift Type: Wednesday-Sunday, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM NOC
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to oncology and women's surgical patients
- Administer medications and treatments while monitoring patient responses
- Collaborate with physicians and the care team to develop individualized treatment plans
- Educate patients and families about procedures, medications, and recovery expectations
- Perform occasional pelvic exams, assist with echo and thoracentesis procedures
- Document care accurately using Cerner EMR and maintain clear communication across shifts
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact license
- BLS certification required
- Chemo certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent oncology or med-surg nursing experience
- Team player with a willingness to learn and adapt
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Comfortable with standard unit equipment and Cerner EMR
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities
- Ability to manage 1:4 or 1:5 patient ratios confidently
- Flexible with floating to other med-surg units when needed
