Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to assigned patients during overnight shifts
• Perform thorough assessments and document patient status accurately and promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following established protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Respond to emergencies and changes in patient condition with calm, decisive action
• Educate patients and families about care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in California
• Experience working as a per-diem or acute care RN, ideally with MST specialization or relevant unit exposure
• Current BLS required; ACLS and other certifications preferred depending on unit needs
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and managing time autonomously
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings

Education

• ADN or BSN in Nursing required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and clinical judgement during overnight coverage
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation best practices
• Basic telemetry monitoring and interpretation (as applicable)
• Infection control practices and patient safety protocols
• Prioritization and time management in a fast-paced setting
