Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM), including every other weekend and holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to a diverse patient population including neuro surgery, respiratory failure, sepsis, stroke, and cardiogenic shock
Titrate vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics with confidence
Collaborate with a team of attendings, fellows, and residents to deliver high-quality, collaborative care
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips using Draeger heart monitoring systems
Float to all inpatient units except Maternity/NICU as needed
Participate in rapid response and code situations as a charge nurse when assigned

Qualifications

2 years of recent ICU experience required
Active RN license in Nebraska (compact license accepted)
Driver's license required at submittal to confirm 50-mile radius rule
Willingness to take an open-book pass/fail exam during orientation (90% to pass)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in managing ventilators, CRRT, ICP monitoring, and Zoll Thermoguard
Skilled in reading and interpreting cardiac rhythms and telemetry
Ability to titrate complex drips including vasopressors and antiarrhythmics
Strong critical thinking and positive attitude in a fast-paced tertiary hospital
Team player willing to ask questions and support colleagues
