Shift Type: 9-hour shifts (specific start/end times and days to be provided), RN - ICU

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $43 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care nursing for ICU patients
Assess, monitor and respond to changes in patient condition with skill and urgency
Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists and the care team to create and execute patient plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and document care thoroughly
Educate patients and families with compassion and clear communication
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (ability to obtain Alabama licensure if needed)
ICU experience or strong interest in critical care nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Ability to work within a fast-paced, team-oriented critical care environment
Clear clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and dedication to patient-centered care

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care assessment and monitoring
Familiarity with ICU equipment and telemetry monitoring
Medication administration and IV management
Ventilator basics and collaboration with respiratory therapy
Strong documentation and clinical communication skills
Ability to prioritize and triage in high-acuity situations
