Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult and pediatric patients over 15 years old in a fast-paced Med Surg ICU
Titrate critical drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics
Monitor and interpret telemetry using Draeger heart monitoring with centralized telemetry
Collaborate with attendings, fellows, and residents to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
Float to inpatient units as needed while maintaining excellence in every assignment
Respond to rapid response teams and codes alongside the charge nurse

Qualifications

Active RN license with 2 years of recent ICU experience
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with a minimum score of 90 percent
Willingness to adhere to the facility's no artificial nails policy in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and the confidence to ask questions
Experience with vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Familiarity with lines such as CVPs, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, and ICP monitoring
Comfort with equipment like Zoll Thermoguard for hypothermia protocols and rapid transfusers
Positive attitude and collaborative spirit in a teaching hospital environment
