Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care for ICU patients
• Assess, monitor, and document patients’ clinical status and changes
• Administer medications and manage advanced life support interventions safely
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans
• Respond quickly and effectively to acute changes and emergencies
• Educate patients and families about condition, care plans, and discharge needs
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and handoffs

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the United States (Hawaii license preferred or eligible)
• ICU experience — demonstrated comfort with critical care patient populations
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work 12+ hour shift patterns and adapt to unit needs

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with ICU monitoring systems and hemodynamic assessment
• Experience with ventilator management and airway care
• Proficiency with vasoactive drips and titratable medication administration
• Skilled in IV/central line management and infusion protocols
• Comfortable with acute care documentation and electronic medical records
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced critical care environment
