Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage and assess patients quickly and accurately in a fast-paced ER environment
• Administer medications, monitor responses, and document care precisely
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
• Provide compassion, clear communication, and education to patients and families in stressful moments
• Perform critical interventions (IV starts, wound care, emergency procedures) while maintaining safety standards
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and facilitate smooth transitions of care

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license — able to practice in California (state-specific licensing expected)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
• Emergency department experience preferred; new grads with strong clinical skills are encouraged to apply for per-diem opportunities
• Current, verifiable clinical references and clean background checks
• Ability to work nights and respond effectively in high-acuity situations

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — equivalent experience considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong triage and emergency assessment skills
• Competence with IV starts, medication administration, and emergency procedures
• Ability to work under pressure while prioritizing patient safety
• Familiarity with common EHR systems and accurate clinical documentation
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
