End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM, with additional options including 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; weekends and holidays vary based on department needs

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to patients in a fast-paced Level I Trauma Center
Manage diverse cases including trauma, sepsis, chest pain, shortness of breath, and stroke patients requiring TPA
Administer and monitor common ER drips while maintaining safe patient ratios
Collaborate with ER physicians, mid-levels, and support staff to deliver exceptional care
Float to the OBS unit and Freestanding Creighton ER at least once per week to support team needs
Interpret cardiac strips and utilize tele/monitor tech resources effectively

Qualifications

Active RN license and current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
NRP certification preferred
Recent Level I or Level II Trauma experience required
Valid driver's license at time of submittal to confirm 50-mile radius eligibility
Must not be currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN at any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in high-acuity trauma settings
Ability to manage multiple patient ratios across zones, Fast Track, and OBS areas
Comfortable reading and interpreting cardiac strips independently
Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to float between units and adapt to changing needs
