Location: Waimea, Hawaii

Start Date: 06-15-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM lunch, plus required Saturday shifts

Hours per Week: 32

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive PT evaluations and deliver hands-on treatments across multiple care settings
Provide expert mobility progression for acute, ICU, SNF, and observation patients
Manage a diverse outpatient caseload covering all common diagnoses in a rural community
Collaborate on discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions for every patient
Step confidently into the ER, OB, and Med/Surg units when needed to support the care team

Qualifications

Active Hawaii Physical Therapy license (must obtain ASAP)
BLS/BCLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapy experience
Comfort working independently in both inpatient and outpatient environments

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical reasoning for varied diagnoses in rural healthcare
Ability to juggle 5-15 patients daily with 30-45 minute treatment blocks
Knowledge of discharge planning and care coordination
Flexibility to cover ER, ICU, Med/Surg, OB, SNF, and outpatient settings
