Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver full-time physical therapy to a diverse population from pediatric to geriatric clients across orthopedics, neurology, vestibular, and wound care
• Provide inpatient, outpatient, home care, and community outreach services in a hospital-based outpatient clinic
• Travel to villages to extend care to remote Alaskan communities
• Adhere to Physical Therapy standards, JCAHO, OSHA, and corporate policies while applying age-specific and culturally sensitive care
• Collaborate with physicians and medical staff as part of a dynamic team
• Utilize equipment like hi-lo tables, whirlpool, therapeutic exercises, ultrasound, and electric stimulation to make real impacts

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Licensed in good standing as a Physical Therapist in Alaska
• CPR certification required
• Hospital-based experience a plus for this rewarding role

Education

• Master's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong Physical Therapy standards of care
• JCAHO and OSHA compliance expertise
• Ability to communicate effectively across cultures, including with non-English speakers
• Mathematical skills for computing rates, ratios, and interpreting graphs
• Reasoning ability to solve practical problems in varied settings
• Language skills to read professional journals, write reports, and present to diverse audiences
