Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 05-29-2026

End Date: 08-28-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Help patients recover from TKA, THA, spinal surgery, CVA, and general orthopedic conditions
Develop personalized treatment plans for deconditioned and medically complex individuals
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Document progress and adjust interventions to support each patient's unique recovery journey

Qualifications

Active California PT license required
BLS certification needed
Acute Inpatient PT experience essential
Comfort working with diverse patient populations including ortho, neuro, and medical-surgical cases

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and treatment planning abilities
Excellent communication with patients, families, and care teams
Ability to manage a fast-paced inpatient caseload
Flexibility to cover multiple hospital units as needed
