Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of technical CT and X-Ray procedures requiring independent judgment and critical thinking
• Apply initiative and specialized skills to facilitate accurate diagnoses for patients
• Provide excellent patient care in accordance with departmental and hospital policies
• Operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, CT, and PACS applications with confidence
• Insert IVs and administer injections for CT procedures
• Maintain patient confidentiality and practice infection control standards
• Demonstrate proper use of PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems
• Complete annual mandatory education and maintain department competencies

Qualifications

• 2 years current CT/X-Ray experience required
• Previous travel experience of at least 6 months required
• Current agency experience of 6 months to 1 year required
• Active Massachusetts Radiology License required
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required
• Active ARRT (CT) and ARRT (R) certifications required
• Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong technical skills in CT and diagnostic radiology procedures
• Ability to work independently with critical thinking and initiative
• Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication abilities
• Proficiency with PACS, HIS, RIS, CR, DR, and CT systems
• Commitment to infection control and patient safety standards
• Flexibility to perform additional duties during low census periods
