Shift Type: Variable day shifts: Weekdays (Monday-Friday) 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM; 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM; 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM. Weekends (rotating, every other weekend) Saturday/Sunday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM and 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM. Day shifts with rotating weekend coverage; no nights required.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and perform sterile compounding with strict adherence to safety and quality standards
• Use Epic to document medications, verify orders, and support inpatient pharmacy workflows
• Restock Pyxis units on nursing units and procedural areas to ensure timely medication availability
• Manage the main pharmacy carousel and replenish inventory as needed
• Restock and maintain code trays and kits so teams are always prepared
• Answer phones and triage medication messages professionally and accurately
• Collaborate with pharmacists, nursing staff, and the pharmacy director to support patient care

Qualifications

• Active CO Pharmacy Technician License (must be submitted)
• PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Minimum 1 year of sterile compounding experience (required)
• Experience using Epic (required); Pyxis experience preferred
• Able to submit a valid driver’s license and work within a 60-mile radius
• Available to be in-state for the week of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

• Sterile compounding techniques and aseptic practice
• Inpatient pharmacy operations and acute care medication workflows
• Medication dispensing systems: Pyxis and main pharmacy carousel
• EPIC electronic charting and medication documentation
• Inventory restocking, code tray/kit maintenance, and supply management
• Clear communication, phone triage, and teamwork in fast-paced settings
• Attention to detail and adherence to safety/regulatory protocols
