Location: Panama City, Florida

Start Date: 11-21-2025

End Date: 05-22-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 10-hour shifts, 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM, including weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Verify and interpret medication orders to keep patients safe and healthy
Prepare sterile medications and nutrition solutions using the latest safety standards
Lead drug therapy management protocols including pharmacokinetics and antimicrobial stewardship
Troubleshoot Pyxis systems and keep pharmacy operations running smoothly
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff with encouragement and expertise
Detect and report medication events quickly to protect every patient

Qualifications

Current pharmacist licensure in Florida
PharmD or Bachelor's degree with recent acute care hospital experience
Strong pharmaceutical calculation and PK dosing skills
Ability to accurately prepare pediatric oral and IV solutions
TPN calculation experience a plus
BLS and ACLS helpful but not required
NICU/PICU/Peds experience welcomed but not mandatory

Education

PharmD or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy

Knowledge & Skills

Meditech information systems and Pyxis ES cabinets
USP 797 & 800 sterile compounding guidelines
CPOE order verification and clarification
Controlled substance handling and documentation
Team collaboration and adaptability in fast-paced settings
