Location: Newport, VT

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Wednesday-Sunday, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM including every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care across PCU, MedSurg, and Telemetry units
Serve as charge nurse and work independently to coordinate patient care
Float to ED and MCH units when needed to support the broader care team
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient outcomes
Participate in quarterly education sessions to stay current with best practices

Qualifications

Active nursing license in Vermont upon acceptance
Minimum 5 years of nursing experience
Current ACLS and BLS/BCLS certifications
Ability to work independently and perform charge nurse duties
Willingness to float to other units as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Comfortable working in a 25-bed critical access hospital environment
Experience with telemetry monitoring and progressive care
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Adaptable to floating between multiple specialty units
