Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide thorough occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based OT interventions to help patients regain independence
• Collaborate closely with nurses, therapists, and physicians to support coordinated care
• Document patient progress and outcomes clearly and timely in the facility’s charting system
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and safe functional strategies
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of care
• Adapt treatment approaches based on patient needs and facility resources

Qualifications

• Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in North Dakota or eligibility to obtain licensure quickly
• OTR credential (NBCOT) preferred or equivalent clinical certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Clinical experience with adult/geriatric populations preferred; new grads who meet licensure requirements are encouraged to apply
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
• Comfort with time management and working in a fast-paced facility environment

Education

• Degree in Occupational Therapy (Master’s or entry-level OTD preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL assessment and intervention, therapeutic activities, and functional training
• Experience with splinting, adaptive equipment recommendations, and mobility aids
• Familiarity with common documentation/EHR systems and outcome tracking
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and contribute to patient-centered care plans
• Good problem-solving skills and a knack for creative, practical solutions
