Location: Fort Morgan, Colorado

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, rotating weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring and postpartum patients in a rural LDRP setting
Triage incoming patients and manage active labor with confidence
Function as the primary baby catcher and transition nurse for newborns
Monitor fetal heart rates using OBIX system and respond to changes
Administer and titrate Pitocin as needed under standing orders
Collaborate with on-call OB and anesthesia providers to ensure safe deliveries
Float occasionally to med-surg to lend a helping hand

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent L&D experience in an LDRP setting
Proven ability to triage obstetrical patients and manage labor independently
Experience as a baby catcher and transition nurse
AWHONN EFM certification required
ALS (Advanced Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications required
Willingness to work in a fast-paced rural hospital environment

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in fetal monitoring and interpretation
Ability to titrate IV drips (Pitocin) safely
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Comfortable functioning with minimal support staff
Knowledge of postpartum and newborn care best practices
