Shift Type: Self-scheduling: 12-hour shifts (Days/Nights) including every other weekend and holiday. Shift times available: 9:00 AM-9:00 PM, 11:00 AM-11:00 PM, 1:00 PM-1:00 AM, 3:00 PM-3:00 AM.

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced 24-bed ED with 3 trauma bays
• Manage and stabilize trauma, stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac patients with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Collaborate with physicians and mid-level providers to deliver timely interventions
• Perform triage, interpret ECG rhythms, and administer medications as needed
• Utilize Paragon EMR for accurate and timely documentation
• Float to other units as qualified to support hospital needs

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and PALS or ENTC
• Ability to interpret ECG rhythms independently
• Experience with Paragon EMR preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in trauma and stroke management
• Proficient in sepsis and cardiac care protocols
• Strong ECG interpretation skills
• Effective triage and patient stabilization abilities
• Comfortable with EMR systems and multitasking in high-acuity settings
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
