Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional, evidence-based nursing care to a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, stroke, and sepsis cases
Titrate critical drips such as cardiac, insulin, and sedation with confidence
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips using GE monitors
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient outcomes
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining safe patient ratios
Participate in pass/fail competency exams during orientation to ensure skill mastery

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience preferred
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Willingness to float to other units as needed
Must be located outside the 50-mile radius from Kearney, NE
Driver's license required for verification

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in managing ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Skilled in reading and documenting telemetry strips
Ability to titrate multiple cardiac and sedation drips
Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
