Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to a diverse ICU patient population including trauma, cardiac, stroke, and respiratory distress cases
Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation as ordered
Interpret telemetry strips and manage ventilators, CPAP, BiPap, and high-flow oxygen
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a 33-bed unit with a typical 1:2-3 nurse-to-patient ratio
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining safe patient assignments

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience preferred
Valid driver's license required for mileage verification (50-mile radius rule)
Willingness to adhere to facility policies (no artificial nails, pass open-book exam with 90% during orientation)

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in drip titration and telemetry interpretation
Proficient in ventilator management and cardiac monitoring (GE monitors)
Strong critical thinking and ability to manage high-acuity patients
Comfortable with self-scheduling and flexible shift assignments
