Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Schedule varies, 8-hour shifts (specific start/end times and days to be confirmed with hiring team)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered care and assist with activities of daily living
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility safely
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report concerns to nursing staff
- Support a clean, safe environment by following infection control practices
- Document resident care and changes in condition clearly and promptly
- Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to promote resident well-being
- Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification valid in Connecticut (required)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or must obtain upon hire
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a resident-first attitude
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing helpful but not always required
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completed state-approved CNA training program and current certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in performing ADLs and resident hygiene assistance
- Knowledge of basic infection control and safety procedures
- Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs and observations
- Team-oriented with the ability to follow care plans and directions
- Familiarity with patient privacy (HIPAA) and professional boundaries
