Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 7-hour shift; specific start/end times and days not specified (shift times to be confirmed)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team to ensure timely, safe care
Assist with safe transfers and mobility support, using proper body mechanics
Support mealtime needs and monitor intake as directed by care plans
Maintain accurate documentation of care and follow established facility protocols
Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, and support staff to create a positive environment for residents

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required)
Active certification or ability to obtain certification in Pennsylvania
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
A caring attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team
Previous experience as a CNA or in long-term care is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of basic patient care and infection control practices
Ability to follow care plans and document observations accurately
Good interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
Comfort with physical tasks such as lifting, transferring, and personal care
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
