Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and safety protocols
• Maintain clear and timely documentation to ensure continuity of care
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures to protect residents and staff
• Communicate effectively and kindly with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused environment that puts resident dignity first

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (meeting state requirements) — required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and supporting residents with diverse needs
• Proof of required immunizations and ability to pass background checks
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but enthusiastic new grads are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed CNA training program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and resident assistance techniques
• Skill in taking vitals and observing clinical changes
• Familiarity with charting and maintaining accurate resident records
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with residents and team members
• Ability to follow care plans, safety protocols, and infection control practices
