Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in electrophysiology procedures including cardiac ablations and device implantations with confidence and attention to safety
• Prepare and maintain EP lab equipment such as Abbott mapping/ablation systems, Phillips fluoroscopy, and Mac Lab to support seamless procedures
• Provide direct patient care before, during, and after procedures including monitoring, medication administration, and post-procedure education
• Collaborate with physicians, device reps, and multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Document care accurately and promptly in Meditech EMR to ensure continuity and compliance
• Monitor hemodynamics and telemetry, recognizing and escalating changes in patient condition quickly
• Promote a culture of patient safety and infection control in the EP suite

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (Kansas) or eligibility to obtain prior to start
• Experience in Electrophysiology (EP) with cardiac ablations and pacemaker/ICD implantations
• Familiarity with Abbott mapping/ablation systems and Phillips fluoroscopy equipment
• Experience working in an EP lab environment and with Mac Lab and Meditech EMR
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• Active RN license required

• Electrophysiology procedures and EP lab workflow

• Phillips fluoroscopy operation and safety practices
• Mac Lab monitoring systems
• Meditech EMR documentation
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
