Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide compassionate personal care and promote resident dignity
- Monitor and document vital signs and changes in condition accurately
- Support safe mobility and fall prevention efforts
- Communicate observations and concerns to nursing staff in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Valid GNA certification in Maryland (required)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB test per facility policy
- Comfort working evenings and supporting an older adult population
- Reliable transportation to Hammonds Lane Center in Brooklyn Pk, MD
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- GNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of activities of daily living and basic nursing support
- Comfortable taking and recording vital signs
- Strong communication and compassionate bedside manner
- Good documentation and time management skills
- Team-oriented with the ability to follow care plans and directions
- Basic infection control and safety awareness
