Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents with dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and report changes in residents' condition to nursing staff
- Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to prevent injury
- Help create a warm, home-like environment that promotes comfort and independence
Qualifications
- Valid GNA certification or completion of an approved GNA training program
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Previous experience in long-term care or rehab settings is a plus
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to pass background checks and required facility screenings
Education
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an approved GNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs and patient hygiene
- Comfortable taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Knowledge of infection control and safe handling procedures
- Ability to follow care plans and collaborate with clinical staff
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach to resident care
