Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled occupational therapy services under the supervision of licensed OTs
- Assist in delivering individualized treatment plans focused on ADLs and functional skills
- Work directly with patients to improve mobility, coordination, and safety in daily activities
- Document patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with facility standards
- Support, educate, and motivate patients and their families toward therapy goals
Qualifications
- Active California COTA license (required)
- Completed accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program (certificate or associate degree)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a positive attitude
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary rehab teams
Education
- Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program (Associate degree or certificate) and active COTA license
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) training and functional skills retraining
- Patient care and bedside rehabilitation techniques
- Clear documentation and compliance practices
- Patient and family education with motivational coaching
- Teamwork, time management, and reliable clinical judgment
