Bill Rate: $52,041.60 - $71,557.20 (without National Certification); $57,241.60 - $78,707.20 (with National Certification)

Roles & Responsibilities

Scrub and provide direct procedural support for cardiovascular OR cases across neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients
Maintain and adhere to sterile technique and sterile field management throughout procedures
Prepare, organize, and account for surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment needed for CVOR procedures
Anticipate surgeon needs and assist with instrument exchanges, retractors, and specialized cardiovascular devices
Document case details and utilize computer systems for charting and instrument tracking
Uphold patient confidentiality and contribute to a safe, respectful patient care environment
Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly when needed

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program (required for hires post-2009)
Minimum 1 year experience as a Surgical Technologist
Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) specialty experience required
BCLS certification required
Certification by an approved body preferred (e.g., NBSTSA - CST, NCCT - TS-C); National Certification preferred

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program (required for hires post-2009)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient scrub responsibilities and sterile technique
Ability to function independently within established protocols
Experience across all age populations (neonate to geriatric)
Sound judgment, tact, and diplomacy in high-pressure situations
Strong patient confidentiality practices
Proficient computer and keyboarding skills

Benefits
