Roles & Responsibilities

Conduct clinical assessments, screenings, diagnoses, and treatment planning for patients from birth to elders
Deliver brief therapy and continuing care to support families and individuals
Lead discharge planning and facilitate patient care conferences for smooth transitions
Coordinate care with hospital teams and community partners for optimal outcomes
Provide client advocacy, skill-building, and assistance with complex needs like Power of Attorney
Maintain accurate, timely documentation compliant with all regulations and standards
Support chemical dependency and mental health needs through referrals and interventions

Qualifications

Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related discipline
Licensed as or eligible for LCSW, LPC or LMFT
Valid Alaska Driver's License or obtainable within 6 months
Must be 21 years of age
Clinical Competency required within 3 months of hire

Education

Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related discipline from an accredited institution

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in discharge planning and interviewing techniques
Crisis intervention and ethical/legal management
Case management with tact and independent judgment
Clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
Knowledge of patient rights and accreditation regulations
