Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality radiographic and sonographic exams for accurate diagnosis across all body parts
Apply expert judgment in radiation protection while prioritizing patient safety
Perform specialized mammography procedures including screening, diagnostic, stereotactic biopsy, and specimen radiography
Execute CT scans and assist in interventional procedures with sterile technique and contrast management
Maintain meticulous patient records and contribute to departmental quality assurance
Support patient transfers, general department hygiene, and ancillary duties as needed

Qualifications

Current ARRT in Radiography certification
BLS certification required within 45 days of start
Clinical Competency assessment within 3 months of hire and every three years
Experience performing diagnostic exams in assigned modalities like mammography and CT
Ability to take call and report to work within 20 minutes

Education

ARRT certification in Radiography required; additional ARRT or ARDMS in CT, mammography, or other modalities preferred based on tech level

Knowledge & Skills

Diagnostic medical radiography and sonography expertise
Radiation protection principles
Patient care across all age groups from newborn to geriatric
Mammography techniques including breast needle localization and quality control
CT procedures with venipuncture knowledge, contrast management, and tele-radiology
Willingness to learn additional modalities like ultrasound or MRI
