Roles & Responsibilities

Provide radiographic examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation
Exercise professional judgment applying radiation protection principles
Perform diagnostic medical radiography across departments
Maintain accurate patient records and files
Lead departmental quality assurance program
Assist with invasive procedures and venipuncture in CT/interventional
Pursue continuing education and learn new imaging modalities
Take call and report within 20 minutes

Qualifications

Current ARRT in Radiography
Clinical competency within 3 months of hire and every three years
Experience performing all diagnostic exams in assigned modality
Tech I: ARRT in one modality like general radiography
Tech II: ARRT certified in two modalities or ARRT/ARDMS categories
Tech III: ARRT certified in three modalities
Tech IV: ARRT certified in four modalities

Education

Current ARRT in Radiography certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Radiation protection principles
Patient care across all age groups from newborn to geriatric
Sterile technique and venipuncture
Quality control and equipment care
Tele-radiology transmission
Contrast administration and contraindications
