Roles & Responsibilities

Provide clinical support and meet educational needs of new employees, staff, and students
Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate educational and professional development activities
Offer guidance on complex patient care, medication administration, and treatment plans
Serve as a mentor enhancing clinical skills for nursing staff
Analyze patient data to identify practice gaps and implement targeted interventions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to advance evidence-based care standards
Act as patient and family advocate while promoting innovations for better service quality

Qualifications

Current unencumbered Registered Nurse License for Alaska
Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from American Heart Association
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from American Heart Association
Minimum 5 years experience as RN in acute care settings preferred

Education

Nursing degree required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Sound clinical practice standards and procedures
Managing acutely ill patients and medical equipment
Evidence-based practices and quality improvement
Safe medication administration
Various teaching methods for healthcare professionals and patients
Comprehensive patient assessments and specialized procedures
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health records
