Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate personalized nursing care for residents across all ages, making a real difference in their daily lives
- Lead with confidence by supervising CNAs, LPNs, and team members during your shift
- Perform thorough assessments and craft care plans that promote healing and independence
- Administer medications accurately and respond calmly to emergencies, saving the day one resident at a time
- Educate residents, families, and staff to build skills and foster optimal health outcomes
- Document meticulously in EHR while collaborating seamlessly with physicians and the healthcare team
Qualifications
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska (or applied for before start)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN, ADN, or Diploma)
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Clinical Competency Assessment within 3 months (and every 3 years)
- High Risk Competency within 3 months (and annually)
- 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Associate's degree in nursing or Diploma in nursing)
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in nursing assessment, patient care coordination, medication administration, emergency response, and EHR documentation
- Strong grasp of nursing principles, pharmaceuticals, and emergency protocols
- Proficient in medical equipment operation like AED
- Excellent oral and written communication for team collaboration and resident data management
