Roles & Responsibilities

Coordinate personalized nursing care for residents across all ages, making a real difference in their daily lives
Lead with confidence by supervising CNAs, LPNs, and team members during your shift
Perform thorough assessments and craft care plans that promote healing and independence
Administer medications accurately and respond calmly to emergencies, saving the day one resident at a time
Educate residents, families, and staff to build skills and foster optimal health outcomes
Document meticulously in EHR while collaborating seamlessly with physicians and the healthcare team

Qualifications

Current unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska (or applied for before start)
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN, ADN, or Diploma)
Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
Clinical Competency Assessment within 3 months (and every 3 years)
High Risk Competency within 3 months (and annually)
1-2 years of nursing experience preferred

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Associate's degree in nursing or Diploma in nursing)
High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in nursing assessment, patient care coordination, medication administration, emergency response, and EHR documentation
Strong grasp of nursing principles, pharmaceuticals, and emergency protocols
Proficient in medical equipment operation like AED
Excellent oral and written communication for team collaboration and resident data management
