Roles & Responsibilities

Partner with clinical leaders to standardize competencies and boost patient care quality
Develop and deliver evidence-based training programs for nursing and CNA staff
Support preceptorships and student clinical experiences with UAA and UAS
Streamline clinical competency programs across SEARHC facilities
Collaborate on team projects to promote the Seven Standards of Excellence
Use research to enhance professional development and improve outcomes
Create engaging curricula that align with mission, policies, and accreditation standards

Qualifications

Current unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska (or apply before start)
BSN from accredited nursing school
BLS certification required, BLS instructor preferred or obtain within 1 year
Clinical Competency assessment within 3 months and every 3 years
2 years clinical instructor/educator experience (1 year supervisory counts)
5 years professional nursing including 2 years in LTC
Supervisory experience a plus

Education

Graduate of accredited nursing school with BSN

Knowledge & Skills

Professional nursing principles for long-term care patients
Curriculum development and evidence-based adult education
Clinical education delivery using tools like TEAMS, Workday, Canva, Articulate, Smartsheet, SharePoint, PowerPoint
High-quality communication and collaboration skills
Policy compliance and competency evaluation
