Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, feeding, and mobility assistance
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with activities of daily living to promote patient dignity and comfort
• Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect patients and staff
• Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow facility policies for charting
• Observe infection control practices and help keep the care environment clean and safe
• Pitch in as a reliable team player during busy overnight shifts

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in the state of practice (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and providing hands-on patient care
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility immunization requirements
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed accredited CNA program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic nursing tasks: vital signs, ADLs, toileting, and ambulation support
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety principles
• Familiarity with charting and basic clinical documentation
• Good observation skills and the ability to escalate changes in patient condition
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to stay calm under pressure
