Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and support throughout the shift
Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene and mobility
Measure and accurately record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection-control practices
Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the care team
Document care thoroughly and ensure continuity during handoffs

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required)
Valid state nursing assistant license or registration for California
Comfortable working a 12-hour day shift on the scheduled date
Previous experience in patient care, long-term care, school health, or similar settings preferred
Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Solid understanding of patient safety and infection control practices
Ability to take and accurately record vital signs and patient observations
Comfortable assisting with transfers, mobility, and ADLs
Clear verbal and written communication for documentation and handoffs
Team-oriented mindset and ability to follow direction from nursing staff
