Roles & Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate outpatient surgical procedures for multiple surgeons and specialties, ensuring smooth patient flow
• Serve as the central liaison between surgeons' offices, patients, anesthesia providers, and ASC clinical staff
• Manage block utilization and surgeon availability to optimize the daily schedule and room use
• Handle schedule adjustments, cancellations, and same-day add-on cases with calm and efficiency
• Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing leadership to maximize case volume and room utilization
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date scheduling data in the ASC scheduling system
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, AAAHC/Joint Commission, and other applicable regulatory and accreditation standards
• Provide excellent customer service as the front-facing representative of the ASC and support administrative tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience with outpatient surgical scheduling or ASC scheduling systems, with the ability to manage multiple surgeon schedules
• Strong customer service and communication skills for interactions with patients, surgeons, and clinical teams
• Familiarity with regulatory and accreditation standards such as HIPAA, CMS, and AAAHC/Joint Commission
• Proven ability to manage schedule changes, cancellations, and same-day add-ons while maintaining patient flow
• Comfort coordinating with anesthesia and nursing leadership to optimize daily operations
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate scheduling data
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and flexibility in a fast-paced outpatient surgical setting

• Expertise in outpatient surgical scheduling and block utilization
• Strong stakeholder coordination between surgeons, offices, patients, and clinical staff
• Patient flow management and room utilization optimization
• Proficiency with ASC scheduling systems and maintaining data accuracy
• Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, CMS, AAAHC/Joint Commission)
• Excellent communication, customer service, and administrative support skills
