Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, includes rotating weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients in a high-volume unit
Circulate in C-section suites and assist with deliveries alongside OB techs
Monitor fetal heart tracings using FetalLink and document in Cerner EMR
Float between L&D, postpartum, and NICU to care for grower/feeders as needed
Collaborate with charge nurses, resource nurses, and a multidisciplinary team
Respond to high-risk deliveries, substance withdrawal cases, and emergency transports

Qualifications

2-3 years of recent L&D and postpartum experience required
At least one prior travel contract strongly preferred
Active California RN license in good standing
ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required
Intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring certification (AWOHNN) required

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner EMR and FetalLink monitoring system
Able to circulate C-sections and manage high-risk obstetric patients
Comfortable floating to postpartum and NICU (grower/feeders)
Spanish-speaking skills a plus but not required
