Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and triage patients presenting to urgent care with speed and compassion
Provide evidence-based treatments for common urgent care conditions
Administer medications, perform wound care, and assist with minor procedures
Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic health record
Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers to coordinate care
Educate patients and caregivers on diagnosis, treatment plans, and follow-up

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (or eligible for state licensure)
Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
Prior urgent care or emergency/fast-paced ambulatory experience preferred
Strong clinical assessment and triage skills with demonstrated judgement
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Patient triage and rapid assessment
Wound care, splinting, and basic urgent procedures
IV insertion and medication administration
Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation best practices
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently in a busy urgent care setting
Professional bedside manner and patient education skills
