Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
Maintain clear, timely documentation to keep the care team informed
Assist with patient comfort, hygiene, and feeding while preserving dignity
Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
Recent experience as a CNA preferred, especially in acute care or long-term care settings
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Valid state nursing assistant registry status and clean background checks
Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an accredited CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of patient care fundamentals and safety practices
Comfortable with vital signs, charting, and basic patient assessments
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
Strong interpersonal skills and team-oriented mindset
Familiarity with infection prevention and HIPAA principles
