Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments and continuous data collection to drive safe, individualized care
• Develop and implement goal-directed plans of care, prioritizing patient needs and unit resources
• Administer IV therapy and medications safely, monitoring patient responses
• Respond efficiently in emergency situations, follow protocols, document events and communicate with the team
• Supervise and assign tasks to LPNs and Nurse Aides, ensuring quality and coordinated care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and keep families informed with compassion and clarity
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold infection control and safety standards

Qualifications

• Current Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• ACLS certification required or must obtain within 1 year of employment
• Previous Medical-Surgical nursing experience preferred (new grads with 1 year Med/Surg experience considered)
• Strong IV skills, clinical decision-making, and ability to perform under high-stress situations
• Experience supervising LPNs and Nurse Aides is a plus
• Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts and occasional overtime

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
