Shift Type: Four 10-hour day shifts per week (daytime hours vary) with rotating evening/night and weekend call. Weeknight call shifts are 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; typical call weekend runs Friday 7:00 PM - Monday 7:00 AM. Rotating schedule including weekends and nights.

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality intraoperative nursing care during the perioperative process
• Serve as circulating and/or scrub nurse, maintaining sterility and managing instruments
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and the perioperative team to optimize patient outcomes
• Prepare and position patients, assist with robotic and specialty procedures, and ensure equipment readiness
• Respond to trauma and emergent cases in a Level III trauma center setting
• Document intraoperative care accurately and communicate changes in patient status to the team
• Support unit workflow, mentor colleagues when appropriate, and participate in continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Active CO RN license or Compact RN license in good standing (required)
• BLS (American Heart Association) (required)
• ACLS (American Heart Association) (required)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in OR or related surgical nursing (required)
• Comfortable functioning as both circulating nurse and scrub nurse
• Submission requirements: resume, RN verification, BLS and ACLS cards, and completed skills sheet

Education

• Active RN license required (specific degree not specified in posting)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong perioperative and intraoperative nursing knowledge
• Proficiency in circulating and scrub roles and sterile technique
• Experience or familiarity with robotic-assisted surgery platforms (Exactech, Mako, Stealth, DaVinci)
• Comfort with trauma, orthopedics, neurosurgery, OB-GYN, ENT, plastics, urology and pediatric cases
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and prioritization in fast-paced OR settings
• Ability to manage documentation and ensure regulatory/compliance standards are met
