Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living.
Take and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff promptly.
Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and positioning while following proper body mechanics.
Maintain clean, safe patient environments and follow infection control practices.
Accurately document care provided and communicate effectively with the care team.
Support patient comfort and dignity through respectful, attentive care.

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required).
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain.
Active state authorization to practice as a CNA in California (must be valid).
Comfortable providing direct patient care and working in a team environment.
Reliable, professional, and able to follow facility policies and procedures.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification.

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and ADLs.
Ability to take and accurately record vital signs and observations.
Familiarity with infection control standards and safe patient handling.
Good communication and interpersonal skills with patients and coworkers.
Basic documentation skills; comfort with electronic or paper charting.
