Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Rapidly assess and triage incoming patients to prioritize care
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform urgent interventions safely and confidently
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and ancillary staff for seamless patient transitions
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the chart
• Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment plans, and follow-up care
• Participate in safety and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in California or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Previous emergency department experience preferred (per-diem clinicians welcome)
• Strong clinical judgment, ability to work calmly under pressure, and excellent communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or Diploma in Nursing; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency assessment and triage skills
• Proficiency with IV therapy, medication administration, and monitoring
• Familiarity with common ER equipment and procedures
• Effective teamwork and communication in high-acuity settings
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and timely documentation
