Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients during the overnight period
• Assess patient condition, monitor vitals, and respond promptly to changes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
• Administer medications and document care accurately and timely
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions as needed
• Act as a patient advocate to ensure safety and dignity throughout the shift

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (state licensure required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred where applicable
• Per-diem or acute care experience preferred; recent clinical hours in relevant setting a plus
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to work independently on night shift
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — per facility requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in patient assessment, medication administration, and documentation
• Familiarity with acute care workflows and electronic medical record systems
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Skilled in patient/family education and discharge planning
• Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making abilities
