Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert critical care nursing to adult ICU patients, monitoring and responding to changes in condition
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage advanced hemodynamic monitoring safely
• Perform timely documentation and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
• Educate patients and families with compassion about diagnoses, treatments, and recovery plans
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; California licensure or compact privilege preferred
• Minimum recent ICU experience; strong critical care background preferred
• BLS required, ACLS required or obtained upon hire as per facility policy
• Demonstrated ability to manage ventilators, vasoactive drips, and advanced monitoring
• Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and communication skills
• Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work night shifts

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• BSN preferred where available

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical expertise in ICU-level monitoring and interventions
• Familiarity with ventilator management and weaning protocols
• Proficiency in electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Strong assessment skills and the ability to prioritize in high-acuity situations
• Effective teamwork and clear communication under pressure
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety best practices
