Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and assist patients with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments and follow infection control practices
• Document care accurately and communicate clearly with nurses and care team
• Build rapport with patients and families to deliver respectful, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• State certification or licensure as required by California regulations
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfort and experience working night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• CNA certification from an accredited program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient hygiene, feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance
• Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of infection prevention and proper PPE use
• Strong observational skills to notice and report patient changes
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure
• Compassionate bedside manner and effective communication with patients and families
